🔥 Cycle 1 - "First Claim"

Saturday, June 14th | Scoria Dominion Launch Day

Welcome to Cycle 1 of the Scoria Dominion campaign!

You're the new blood, fresh faces, fresh steel, a crew of gangers hungry enough to eat ash and drink promethium.

Word on the street is the Corpse Guild ditched some valuable cargo — bodies and contraband in some forgotten trash sectors. It’s not prime turf, but it’s the perfect place for a new gang to make their first acquisition without drawing too much attention.

This is your moment.
You’ve got a name to carve, a rep to build, and territory to claim.

📅 Date & Time

  • Date: Saturday, June 14th
  • Time: All-day campaign kickoff
  • Location: Warsenal Shop

⚠️ Week 1 Is Safe

During this first cycle, no permanent injuries or deaths occur. It’s a chance to learn, experiment, and settle into your gang before things get brutal.

  • Games can be played anytime during the week — you don't have to show up on Saturday to participate.
  • This is an ideal week to learn the system and begin building your story.

☠️ Scenario: Wrapped in Mystery

🕯️ Story:

The Mercator Pallidus — the Corpse Guild — was loading containers slated for the corpse-starch vats in the Scoria Hive when they found something… off. One container contained wrapped bodies that weren't entirely dead yet, and caskets full of contraband Not wanting to be caught between the Houses or accused of smuggling, the guild did what any upstanding underhive institution would do: they dumped the lot.

Word spreads fast in the underhive. Now gangs are crawling over one another to reach the crates first. Some want the loot. Some want to find out who these “not-quite-dead” corpses are. Others just want to cause some mayhem and stake their claim.

🧱 Setup:

  • Use a 4’x4’ board with moderate to dense terrain.
  • Each player deploys using a standard deployment zone (roll for initiative)
  • Your crew size is custom selection 8
  • Gang Tactics will not be used.
  • Place 1 Corpse Marker within a 6" radius of the board center.
  • place 6 Loot Caskets scattered in a 12" wide central band across the table (not within deployment zones).

🔐 Loot Casket Rules:

  • Each Loot Casket is locked and requires a fighter to use a Double Action while in base contact to attempt to open it.
  • Smash Open Loot Casket (Basic): If this fighter is
within 1" of a Loot Casket, roll a D6 and add their
Strength. If the total is 6 or more, the casket is opened.
However, subtract 1 from the roll to determine the
casket’s contents, to a minimum of 1 (see page 195).
  • Bypass Loot Casket Lock (Basic): If this fighter is
within 1" of a Loot Casket, make an Intelligence test for
this fighter. If the test is passed, the casket is opened.
  • Carry Loot Casket (Simple): If this fighter is within
1" of a Loot Casket, they may make a Move (Simple)
action, carrying the Loot Casket with them. When the
action ends, the casket is placed in base contact with
    this fighter.
  • Once opened, roll on the Loot Casket Table:

🎲 Loot Casket Table:

Roll a D6 and remove the loot casket.

  • 1  Booby Trapped – Frag Trap! Resolve a frag grenade blast centered on the casket.
2–5 Found Credits – The casket contains D6×10 credits.
  •  2-5 Valuable Goods – Add D6x10 credits to the gangs stash.
  • 6 Exotic Furs - Should this fighter make a Trade action in the post-battle sequence, they add an additional +1 modifier to the dice roll to determine
    The Availability Level.

💀 Living Corpse

  • Each Living Corpse can be interacted with in the following way.
  • Unwrap the Corpse: (Basic) If this fighter is
within 1" of the Living Corpset, roll on the Living Corpse Chart (provided by the Arbitrator)
  • Carry the corpse (Simple): If this fighter is within 1" of the Living Corpse, roll a D6 and add their Strength. If the total is five or more, they pick up the Living Corpse. They may make Move (Simple) actions to carry the Living Corpse with them, but both hands are occupied with carrying, so they cannot shoot. When an action ends, the model can choose to drop the Living Corpse in base contact with this fighter.
  • The Living Corpse is very valuable but may also come with consequences.

🏆 Victory Conditions:

  • If either gang has no fighters left on the battlefield at
the end of any round, the battle ends immediately.
  • The gang that still has fighters left on the battlefield gains the territory. If neither gang has fighters left, no territory is gained.

📦 Territory Reward:

Territories will be awarded to the victor of each battle in cycle one. Which territory to fight over will be decided by a challenge. For the first round of challenges, a random initiative will be decided by a d6. Then players will proceed in initiative order to choose a territory they wish to fight over, and each territory will have room for two challengers.

Corpse farm

Everyone must eat, and the corpse farms take the
flesh of the dead and make it into the corpsestarch
that feeds the hive. Underhive corpse farms
do a brisk, if shunned trade in the bodies of
the dead.
TERRITORY

TERRITORY BOON

This Territory grants the following Boon:
Income: When collecting income, the gang gains
D6x10 credits for every fighter on either side that
was deleted from their roster during the Update
Roster step of the preceding battle.

ENHANCED BOON (Cawdor)

Reputation: Whilst it controls this Territory,
the gang adds +1 to its Reputation.
Income: When collecting income, the gang gains
2D6x10 credits for every fighter on either side that
was deleted from their roster during the Update
Roster step of the preceding battle.

Collapsed Dome

Many of the ancient domes that honeycomb the
underhive eventually collapse under the weight
of time, leaving treasures trapped beneath the
wreckage and the structure above liable to fall
apart at the smallest misstep.

TERRITORY BOON

Income: When collecting income from this
Territory, the controlling player may choose to
roll between 2D6x10 and 6D6x10. However, if a
double is rolled, then no income is generated and
a random fighter from the gang rolls on the Lasting
Injury table.

OLD RUINS

A complex of old ruins stands tall on the tangled
landscape of the underhive or out in the wastes.
Beneath the ashes and rubble, the tattered
treasures of past ages wait.

TERRITORY BOON
This Territory grants the following Boon:
Income: The gang earns D3x10 credits from this
Territory when collecting income. Additionally,
add +1 to the D3 result

Refuse Drift

Vast agglomerations of refuse gather in areas of the
underhive in drifts that shift like dunes in a desert.

TERRITORY BOON
This Territory grants the following Boon:
Income: The gang earns 2D6x5 credits from this
Territory when collecting income. However, if a
double is rolled, a randomly determined fighter has
a nasty encounter with a waste-lurker and must
miss the next battle whilst they recover. No income
is lost.

ENHANCED BOON (Cawdor)
Reputation: Whilst it controls this Territory,
the gang adds +1 to its Reputation.
Income: The gang earns 2D6x5 credits from this
Territory when collecting income. A Cawdor gang
has no risk of encountering a nasty waste-lurker.
