Best Value Intro Kit But Quality Should Be Improved

I think this is hands-down the best way to start your foray into Infinity. If you're starting from zero (which I am), then the cost breakdown is:
- 14 metal miniatures - $165 (estimated)
* 7 figures for PanOceania Kestral Colonial Force sectorial (145 pts)
* 7 figures for JSA Shindenbutai sectorial (149 pts)
- Scenery Pack - $38 (estimated)
- Tokens and Measuring Tool - $7 (estimated)
- Exclusive Yamabushi figure - $17 (estimated cost if available separately)
---------
Total estimated cost: $227

So, at $155, this is a great value if you want everything in it. The value goes down for those who have a decent collection to begin with and just want the new miniatures. For them, it's about breakeven if they want all of them. For those that are only interested in one army/faction or the other, then the value comes down to time versus money - is having the new miniatures now worth the premium of having to pay for figures that are not desired?

Even though it's a good value, hardware-wise, there are areas that could be improved so newcomers aren't unduly disappointed. The included info that assembly is required and that the miniatures come unpainted is good. What's not good is that there is no mention that the miniatures shown on the box and in the booklet are mounted on bases that are not included with the box. For someone who doesn't know, it's a reasonable assumption that everything shown on the box and in the marketing materials is included. Instead, standard LoF bases are provided while the marketing materials use alpha, beta, gamma, and epsilon bases for the figures. Just let the uninitiated buyer know of that difference ahead of time.

Another gotcha for the uninitiated is how to set up the terrain. There are three scenarios in the back of the booklet. Only mandatory terrain is shown in the setup and no direction for any other terrain is provided. How am I supposed to know how much (if any) and where to put non-mandatory terrain? Is it as simple as "Do whatever you like" or is there a reason no terrain is shown such as "There's no cover available in this scenario"? Some guidance would go a long way here.

The number of typos is excessive. It looks like spellcheck was used but the grammar check fell short. It doesn't diminish from the aesthetics but it does create the impression that they could have used better QA and makes me wonder where else the quality suffers and how it impacts the set.

Gripes aside, I'm happy with the purchase and I would buy it again if I had to revisit the decision. That's because I'm starting with nothing and this is my first Infinity purchase. I probably would not get the box if I already had an Infinity army or two and/or I didn't have a desire for the Kestrel Colonial Force or Shindenbutai.

Product great, but missing plastic stand content.

Hey guys. Content received was great. But the Sandtrap marker set was missing the Scarecrow Cybermask standee. I got the Cybermask base, but my bag was missing the Scarecrow fig that went with the cybermask (got the one that went with the camo marker.)

Can I get a replacement sent out with my next order? Should I contact customer service?
